TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FIPRESCI AND NETPAC JURIES
TORONTO — The Toronto International Film Festival® is pleased to announce the return of two distinguished international juries to recognize outstanding works from select programmes in this year’s lineup.
TORONTO — The Toronto International Film Festival® is pleased to announce the return of two distinguished international juries to recognize outstanding works from select programmes in this year’s lineup. The two juries, featuring renowned film critics, are comprised of six members from FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics, and three jurors for NETPAC, the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema.
The FIPRESCI Jury will award the Prize of International Critics for the 27th year to one film from the Discovery programme and another from the Special Presentations programme. Last year, the winners were Sadaf Foroughi’s Ava in the Discovery programme and Manuel Martin Cuenca’s The Motive in the Special Presentations programme. The NETPAC Jury will present the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film, which went to Huang Hsin-Yao’s The Great Buddha+ last year.

The FIPRESCI Awards and NETPAC Award will be announced at the Festival Awards Ceremony at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Sunday, September 16, at 12:30pm.
The 43rd Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6 to 16, 2018.
